Training
Would you like your pony or small horse schooled by a Grand Prix rider? That is possible. At 1.61 m and 50 kg I never outgrew the ponies — and riding ponies is still what I enjoy most. Small horses up to 1.62 m are welcome too.
Schooled with welfare first
I have schooled a great many horses and ponies over the years. Ever since my own pony days I have trained with Grand Prix rider and judge Anouk Hansen, and now and then I travel to Hooge Mierde for lessons with Tineke Bartels.
The welfare of the horse or pony always comes first, and I train within what the animal is capable of. Not every horse or pony is suited to competing at the highest level, but you always get one back that a young rider can ride on easily.
From schooling to competing
- Further schooling and bringing on in competition
- Preparing for the stallion performance test or the IBOP
- I do not back young horses myself, but it can be arranged here
- Ponies and small horses up to 1.62 m
I do not always have room to take a pony or horse into training. Do get in touch to ask — then I can look with you at when it would work.
